2km - An event for the whole family!

Late Entry $45 in person at Mosman Public School from 6am-8am on Race Day, Sunday 16/06/13

This year’s 2k PISC will again start from Belmont Road in front of the Mosman Bowling Club.
All 2km runners MUST be in the Start Assembly area in the Lower Myahgah Playground by 9:00am - marked A on the map. All 2km runners will be walked to the designated Start Area on Belmont Road NO LATER than 9:15am. Girls will be lined-up directly behind the boys for a 9:30am Start
The 2km run is open to primary-school aged children only (K through Year-6). This event is called the Primary Inter-School Challenge (PISC).
The PISC is open to schools that can field at least three competitors, from that school, to compete within a specific category (below).
CATEGORIES
The Age Group categories for both Male & Female competitors are (based on the age you turn during the 2013 calendar year):
Under 8 (including 5s, 6s & 7s)
8 - 9
10 - 11
12 - 13
PRIZES
For the 2km Run, medals will be awarded to:
- the fastest overall runners in both the boys' & girls' divisions;
- the three (3) fastest runners in the winning teams (i.e. schools) in each division
Perpetual trophies will also be awarded to:
- Top school, for boys division;
- Top school, for girls division; and,
- Top overall school (combining boys & girls divisions)
2km ACCOMPANYING ADULT
You may wish to run with your child in the 2km event. If so, you will need to register in the 2km Accompanying Adult in addition to registering the child you are accompanying in the 2km Individual Entry with School.
Standard Entry $15 available on-line up to 5pm Saturday 15/06/13 or in person at Mosman Public School from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 15/06/13, and from 6am on Race Day, Sunday 16/06/13.
By entering as an ‘accompanying adult’ you will not be competing for any prizes and therefore your time will not be calculated. You will be assigned a race bib, which must be worn and visible on race-day in order to enter the race assembly area for the start of the 2km event.
As an ‘accompanying adult’ you MUST start and run with your child for the duration of the event. You and your child will start in the last start wave, behind all age-group start waves. You and your child WILL NOT be allowed to start in your child’s age-group wave. Please cooperate with event officials during the race start as these rules are in place for safety reasons for all 2km participants.
